Albert J. Fernandez

President and Chief Executive Officer and Board Member

As founder and CEO, he oversees the company’s strategic planning, guiding its direction and setting the vision. As the inventor of XTec’s Mediametric technology, Albert holds more than 14 patents related to secure subsystems. His extensive background includes designing and developing software and hardware for recording systems, high-speed duplication systems, decrementing value cards, and access control systems. He has also contributed to the industry by serving on the GSA Common Access ID Interoperability Committee, the Physical Access Control Committee, and the Testing Committee. Albert enjoys his free time spent in the Florida Keys with his family and boating.

Kevin Kozlowski

Executive Vice President and Board Member

Since 2002, he has served as the Executive Vice President of Government Initiatives, where he has been instrumental in positioning XTec as a leading security provider. Under his leadership, the company has successfully overseen major smart card system deployments at the cabinet level. Kevin’s expertise extends to contributing to federal smart card publications and offering critical security and authentication guidance to numerous federal agencies. Prior to joining XTec, Kevin served as a Senior Manager at Northrop Grumman, where he managed a key smart card contract. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from James Madison University and is a Certified Smart Card Industry Professional in Government (CSCIP/G). In his spare time, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family, golfing,  rooting for his favorite Washington sports teams, traveling, and unwinding by the lake.

Suzette Diaz

Chief Technology Officer

With 17 years of experience in technology leadership, Suzette has a proven track record of driving innovation and delivering scalable, cutting-edge solutions across various industries. At XTec, Suzette leads a talented engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. Suzette is passionate about leveraging technology to solve complex problems and is committed to mentoring the next generation of engineers. Her visionary leadership has been instrumental in transforming XTec into a market leader. Her extensive experience spans engineering, design, and development of secure solutions, ensuring that the company stays at the forefront of technological advancements. In addition to her technical acumen, she has provided training, maintenance, and technical support to a diverse range of clients in both Federal and Commercial sectors. Suzette is a Certified Smart Card Industry Professional-Government and holds a Top-Secret Clearance. She holds a bachelor’s of science in Computer Engineering and Master’s Degrees in Computer Science and Engineering Management from Florida International University. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two sons.
