Managing the identity and credential throughout the entire lifecycle is critical for long-term success. It reduces risks, increases productivity, and enhances operations. XTec, as an identity and credential provider, manages the lifecycle of both; separating the two can cause confusion and introduce vulnerabilities into an authentication system.
XTec offers several options for lifecycle management. The traditional method of end-user notification and returning back to the enrollment and issuance authority is available, but our customers prefer solutions that reduce the burden on their support staff and empower the user. Our self-service options include a standalone kiosk and our AuthentXware minidriver and middleware bundle, which has built-in lifecycle management.
Self-Service Lifecycle Kiosk
The self-service features enabled by the AuthentX Lifecycle Kiosk bring efficiency to the enrollment and maintenance process. By increasing efficiency and decreasing the number of personnel needed to support these applications, the AuthentX Kiosk also provides cost savings.
After a biometric check and cryptographic authentication, cardholders can:
- Change PIN
- Unlock Credential
- Update Digital Certificates
- Update Personal Information
The kiosk is also available in a version for cardholders covered by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
